Kipina Indonesia established its first preschool in 2020 and despite the launch being during the pandemic, today Kipina has four branches for over 600 families in Gading Serpong, Kelapa Gading, Kemang and Bekasi. We celebrated the grand opening in October 2022 in the largest branch at Bekasi with The CEO of Kipina worldwide, the global academic director of Kipina and professors from the HAMK university of Finland.
“Kipina is here with a vision to create an education system that raises children as happy lifelong learners”, said Sudino Lim, CEO of KIPINA Kids Indonesia, in his remarks at the Grand Opening of Kipina Summarecon Bekasi, Friday (07/10/2022). He added that “Kipina prepares young Indonesian educators and completes them with training from the HAMK University of Applied Science from Finland. These educators continuously receive mentoring from the Finnish team so they can provide the best service for early childhood education.” Kipina teachers are trained to guide learning through play which makes children happy and curious. The preschools create an environment that supports the 21st century skills : collaboration, ,communication, critical thinking and creativity.
On the same occasion, Jeannine Laubner as the Academic Director of Kipina Worldwide said “KIPINA’s education curriculum has six areas of development, namely literacy and language, numeracy, physical development, cognitive development, cultural awareness and one area that is urgently needed by the world today, namely character development. and social skills. Kipina integrates character development into its education system to foster respectful, empathetic and responsible children.
As part of its social responsibility, Kipina Indonesia will share education and training methods with educators as an effort to improve the quality of PAUD while creating job opportunities. In the future, Kipina plans to collaborate with PAUD institutions in Indonesia in preparing Indonesian children for the golden generation in 2045 who are smart, innovative and have strong character.
