Marilou De Leon-Simpas brings a vibrant teaching approach shaped by 15 years of experience and a solid academic foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Secondary Education in Biology and is a licensed teacher in the Philippines. Marilou has pursued graduate studies in Education at UP Diliman and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at the National Teacher College. Although her teaching background was for Secondary, Marilou has dedicated her career ever since to primary education, where she excels in engaging younger students with her playful and humorous teaching style. She cultivates a supportive classroom environment that ignites creativity and empowers students to explore their full potential.

Having spent a significant decade of her career in Jakarta and Batam, Marilou has taught extensively under diverse curricula including IB PYP, Cambridge, and Singapore systems, specializing in preschool, lower primary, arts, and computer classes. Her passion for arts like painting and digital design enriches her teaching, inspiring students’ creativity and self-expression.

Marilou values collaborative partnerships with parents, recognizing their crucial role in student development. Alongside her extensive teaching experience, she holds multiple teaching and training certificates, emphasizing her commitment to professional growth. Marilou also serves as a speaker and teacher trainer, advocating for social and emotional learning across Indonesia, empowering educators to create inclusive and supportive classrooms.
