This week, the Nursery 2 class launched into an exciting hands-on learning adventure by making their very own rockets! With a mix of craft materials like cardboard tubes, colorful paper, glue, and glitter, the children worked together to create imaginative rockets of all shapes and sizes. Guided by their teachers, they learned simple steps to build their rockets while exploring ideas about space, shapes, and colors.
The activity encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and early STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) learning in a playful way. As the children decorated their rockets with stars, flames, and windows, they were also introduced to basic concepts like how rockets travel into space and what astronauts do. The classroom buzzed with excitement and curiosity as the kids proudly held up their finished creations and pretended to blast off into the sky.
This rocket-making project was more than just arts and crafts—it was an opportunity for children to dream big and explore the wonders of the universe through play. The teachers were thrilled to see so much engagement, teamwork, and imagination. At the end of the day, each child went home with their own mini rocket and a heart full of excitement about space and beyond. 🌌🎨🧑🚀
