Created On: December 1st, 2025. In the Bears Class (Nursery 1) at Kipina Kids Kelapa Gading 1, children begin building strong learning foundations in a warm, supportive, and joyful environment. From N1, children are gently introduced to early literacy and numeracy, thoughtfully designed to suit their developmental stage and follow our Finland-inspired curriculum, integrated with Montessori principles.
Inspired by the Finnish early childhood education approach, learning in Bears Class emphasizes well-being, joy, curiosity, and learning through play. Children are not pressured to achieve academic targets; instead, they are guided to explore concepts naturally through meaningful experiences. This approach helps children develop a positive attitude toward learning from a very young age.
Early literacy focuses on language development, listening skills, vocabulary building, sound recognition, and a love for stories. Activities such as storytelling, singing, role play, and picture-based discussions help children express themselves while developing communication skills in a natural and enjoyable way.
For numeracy, children explore basic concepts including counting, numbers, shapes, and patterns through hands-on activities. Everyday experiences—such as sorting objects, counting toys, and movement games—are used to introduce math concepts in a concrete and relatable manner.
These learning experiences are delivered through guided play learning, where teachers carefully prepare activities that encourage exploration while gently guiding children toward learning objectives. Integrated with Montessori practices, children are given opportunities to develop independence, concentration, and fine motor skills through purposeful, child-sized materials and self-directed activities.
