Kipina Surabaya recently conducted the K1 Mandarin Assessment as part of its ongoing commitment to nurturing early bilingual development in young learners. This assessment was designed to observe each child’s foundational Mandarin skills in a warm, supportive, and age-appropriate environment, ensuring that children felt confident and comfortable while expressing themselves.
During the assessment, K1 students were guided through fun and interactive activities such as recognizing basic vocabulary, responding to simple questions, identifying colors and objects, and following short instructions in Mandarin. Through songs, pictures, and one-on-one interactions with the teacher, children were encouraged to demonstrate their listening and speaking abilities naturally, without pressure.
The results of the K1 Mandarin Assessment provide valuable insights for teachers to understand each child’s progress and learning needs. This allows Kipina Surabaya to tailor future lessons more effectively, supporting every child’s language journey.
