Created on 14 January 2026, At Kipina Kids Bali, learning comes alive through play. One of our most engaging classroom activities is role play, where children explore real-life experiences in a fun and meaningful way. Recently, our students from Owls Class enjoyed an exciting Doctor and Veterinarian Role Play activity, filled with curiosity, laughter, and meaningful learning moments.
During this activity, the Owls Class classroom transformed into a mini clinic and animal care center. The children took turns becoming doctors, veterinarians, and patients—both people and animals. Equipped with toy stethoscopes, thermometers, medical kits, and animal figures, they learned how doctors and veterinarians care for humans and animals by checking heartbeats, giving pretend medicine, and showing kindness to their patients.
Through this role play, children developed social and emotional skills by practicing empathy, responsibility, and caring for others. They learned that both doctors and veterinarians help keep communities healthy. Conversations during the activity also supported the children’s language development, introducing new vocabulary related to health, animals, and medical care.
The activity encouraged cognitive growth through imaginative thinking and problem-solving. Children followed simple procedures, took turns, and explored real-life routines in healthcare settings. Handling the medical tools and animal toys also helped strengthen their fine motor skills.
Most importantly, role play allows children to express themselves confidently in a safe and supportive environment. At Kipina Kids Bali, we believe that play-based learning nurtures creativity, independence, and compassion—preparing our Owls Class students to understand the world around them and the many ways they can help others 🦉🐾💙
