Learning is even more meaningful when children experience it in real life. In our Fox Baby Class, we brought the theme “Shopkeeper” to life by turning role play into a real shopping adventure at the supermarket!

Through this activity, our little learners didn’t just pretend to be shoppers — they experienced real-world learning in a fun, guided, and age-appropriate way.

From Pretend Play to Real Experience 🌟

The journey started in the classroom with a role play activity. Children explored simple concepts such as recognizing items, naming daily necessities, and practicing social interaction as “buyers” and “shopkeepers.”

Then came the exciting part — a real visit to the supermarket! With curious eyes and big smiles, the children explored shelves, identified familiar items, and learned how shopping works in real life.

Learning Through Everyday Moments 🧠💛

This supermarket visit supported many important developmental skills, including:

Language development through naming objects and simple communication
Cognitive skills by recognizing items and understanding functions
Social-emotional skills through turn-taking and guided interaction
Independence & confidence in exploring new environments

All activities were carefully guided by teachers to ensure the children felt safe, happy, and supported throughout the experience.
