Our recent dry ice experiment was a captivating hands-on science activity that had everyone amazed! Using dry ice—frozen carbon dioxide at an astonishing -78.5°C—we safely explored its unique properties through fun experiments that illustrated sublimation (when a solid changes directly into a gas without becoming a liquid first).
The children watched as dry ice placed in warm water created thick, foggy clouds, resembling a magical, bubbling cauldron! We added soap to create fog-filled bubbles, which popped into wisps of “smoke,” thrilling our young scientists. Each step of the experiment allowed them to observe chemical reactions, temperature changes, and the science behind sublimation, sparking questions and curiosity.
