Created on 30 December 2025, In Kindergarten 2 at Kipina Kids Bali, children aged 5 to 6 years old are developing essential numeracy skills that prepare them for primary school. At this stage, students are more confident, independent, and ready to explore mathematical concepts in deeper and more meaningful ways.
Numeracy learning in K2 focuses on understanding numbers, not just memorizing them. Children practice counting, recognizing numbers, and learning how numbers work together. Through hands-on activities, they are introduced to simple addition and subtraction using real-life examples that make learning easy to understand and enjoyable.
Students learn to count forward and backward, group objects, and solve basic plus and minus problems. Using toys, blocks, number cards, and classroom games, children explore how adding makes numbers bigger and subtracting makes them smaller. These practical activities help children develop problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
Our teachers guide students step by step, encouraging them to explain their thinking and try different ways to find answers. This builds confidence and helps children see mathematics as something fun and useful, rather than challenging or stressful.
Learning through play and exploration remains an important part of Kindergarten 2. Math games, group activities, and daily routines such as counting classroom items or sharing materials all support numeracy development in a natural way.
By the end of K2, students are able to count confidently, understand basic addition and subtraction, and approach math with curiosity and enthusiasm. These strong foundations prepare them well for the transition to primary school and future learning success.
