Created on 22 January 2026, At Kipinä Kids Bali, we believe that learning becomes more meaningful when children are connected with real experiences from their community. Recently, we had a very special session where we invited one of our parents, who has a unique and inspiring profession as an Ogoh-Ogoh artist, to share his knowledge and creativity with our students.
During this visit, the children learned about Ogoh-Ogoh, a traditional Balinese art form commonly seen during the Nyepi celebration. Our guest shared stories about his work as an Ogoh-Ogoh artist how ideas are created, the materials used, and the process of bringing each figure to life. The students from Nursery 1 (N1) to Kindergarten 2 (K2) listened with great enthusiasm, showing curiosity and excitement throughout the session.
To continue the learning experience, the children participated in a hands-on art activity by creating their own miniature Ogoh-Ogoh using paper and sticks. This activity supported the development of creativity, imagination, and fine motor skills, while also encouraging self-expression through art.
Through this meaningful activity, the students gained a deeper appreciation of local culture and community roles, while learning in a fun, engaging, and play-based environment. Inviting parents to share their professions is part of Kipinä’s approach to 21st-century learning, where children learn through real-life experiences, collaboration, and creativity.
It was a joyful day filled with cultural exploration, creativity, and inspirationmaking learning truly come alive at Kipinä Kids Bali.
