Created on 23 January 2026, At Kipinä Kids Bali, learning comes alive through hands-on, meaningful play. Our N2 children recently enjoyed an exciting construction-themed activity where they explored building concepts using simple, recycled materials.
During this activity, the children worked together to build structures using cardboard boxes, transforming them into creative buildings through their imagination. To make the experience even more realistic, they created their own “cement” using a sensory mixture of sand, flour, and grey coloring, helping them understand how buildings are constructed in the real world.
What made the activity even more engaging was the use of a handcart cart made from boxes. The children pretended to transport materials just like real builders pushing, pulling, and carrying their supplies from one place to another. This role-play encouraged teamwork, communication, and problem-solving while strengthening their gross motor skills.
Through this activity, the children developed:
– 🧱 Creativity and imagination
– 🤝 Collaboration and social skills
– ✋ Fine and gross motor skills
– 🧠 Early problem-solving and planning skills
This construction play is part of our play-based learning approach, where children learn best by doing, exploring, and experiencing. By using recycled and sensory materials, we also introduce early awareness of sustainability and resourcefulness.
At Kipinä Kids Bali, every activity is designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning one box, one building, and one big dream at a time ✨
