Created On: January, 30th 2026 Learning becomes even more exciting when children can imagine, explore, and play. In our Bears Class (Nursery 1), the children stepped into the Imaginarium Room and transformed it into a lively little shop through a fun Shopkeepers role play activity.

This experience allowed our young learners to explore everyday situations in a safe, playful, and imaginative environment designed especially for early childhood learning.
Exploring Through Imaginative Play 🌈
Inside the Imaginarium Room, children took turns becoming shopkeepers and customers. They explored pretend items, practiced simple conversations, and learned how buying and selling works through guided play.
Role play helps children express themselves, build confidence, and develop creativity while having fun with their friends.
Learning While Playing 🧠💛
Through this shopkeeper role play, the children developed essential early skills, including:
- Language development through naming items and simple communication
- Social-emotional skills such as turn-taking and cooperation
- Cognitive skills through recognizing objects and understanding routines
- Fine motor skills while handling play items and pretend money
All activities were facilitated by teachers to ensure the children felt supported and engaged throughout the session.
Building Confidence from Simple Experiences 🌱
At Kipinä Kids, we believe that imaginative play is a powerful foundation for learning. The Shopkeepers role play in the Imaginarium Room gave our Bears Class children the opportunity to explore real-life roles through imagination — helping them grow confidence, independence, and curiosity.
🛍️✨ Because every playful moment is a meaningful learning experience.
