Created on 1 April 2026 – In our Owls class, we became little scientists. We learned about floating and sinking through a fun science experiment! We used water, salt, and an egg to discover something amazing. Will it sink or float?
First, we gently placed the egg in a glass of plain water… plop! It sank straight to the bottom! The children watched with wide eyes. Next, we added some salt and stirred, stirred, stirred. Then came the exciting part, we put the egg back in. Guess what? It started to rise… and float!
The children cheered and learned that salt makes the water “stronger,” helping the egg float. Science is like magic, but it’s real! Through this activity, we learned that some objects sink and some objects float, and we can even change what happens by adding something like salt.
Great job, little scientists!
