At Kipina Bogor, the Seals (Nursery 2) children took part in a fun and interactive “Find and Count the Food” activity inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar story. The teacher began by explaining that the children would pretend to be hungry caterpillars searching for food, then hid picture cards of various foods around the classroom before the activity started. Wearing adorable caterpillar headbands prepared by the teachers, the children eagerly moved around the room to find and collect the hidden food pictures, bringing them to the front once they were done. After gathering all the pictures, the children were encouraged to count them one by one. Through this engaging activity, the children developed their language skills by recalling and reinforcing their understanding of the story, as well as their cognitive skills, particularly memory and early numeracy, through counting.
