Created On: May, 1st 2026. At Kipinä Kids Kelapa Gading 1, our Nursery class recently embarked on an exciting theme: “Beasts”, where children explored the fascinating world of flying beasts and hopping beasts through hands-on, play-based learning experiences.
The classroom was filled with curiosity and joy as children discovered different types of creatures—from butterflies and bees to rabbits and other hopping animals. Each activity was thoughtfully designed to help children connect with the theme while developing essential early skills.
During Flying Beasts activities, children engaged in creative and sensory play. They explored butterflies through art activities such as stamping and decorating, while also strengthening their fine motor skills. Through these hands-on experiences, children not only learned about how these creatures move and live, but also expressed their creativity freely.
In the Hopping Beasts exploration, children were introduced to animals like rabbits through fun and interactive games. Activities such as sorting, matching, and movement play encouraged them to hop, move, and imitate animals—making learning both active and meaningful. These experiences supported their gross motor development, coordination, and imagination.
Children also participated in early literacy and numeracy activities connected to the theme. From recognizing letters on butterfly wings to counting objects on animal-themed materials, learning became more engaging and relatable. These activities helped build foundational skills while keeping children excited and motivated.
Beyond academics, the theme encouraged social interaction and confidence building. Children learned to take turns, work together, and express themselves during group activities, all within a warm and supportive environment guided by our caring teachers.
