Created on 15 September 2026 – To celebrate Indonesia’s Independence Day, the Squirrels Class went on a wonderful culinary adventure!
We introduced the children to Sengkulun Ubi Ungu, a delicious traditional cake originally from Betawi. The children had fun mixing flour, purple sweet potato, refined sugar, and grated coconut to create this colourful treat.
Through this hands-on activity, our students developed their motor skills while mixing and shaping, deepened their cultural awareness by discovering a traditional Indonesian food, and built confidence by creating something with their own little hands.
What a fun way to celebrate independence!
