What better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a little creativity and lots of red and white? At Kipinä Kids Surabaya, our little learners had fun coloring wayang while celebrating the spirit of Indonesia. With their crayons in hand and plenty of imagination, each child brought their own colorful version of this traditional Indonesian character to life.
More than just a fun art activity, coloring wayang gave the children an opportunity to explore Indonesian culture in a way that felt natural and enjoyable. As they chose their colors, practiced holding their crayons, and carefully filled in each shape, they were also developing their creativity, focus, and fine motor skills.
The best part? There was no “right” or “wrong” way to create. Every little artwork was different, just like every child’s unique imagination. At Kipinä Kids Surabaya, we love creating meaningful learning moments where children can play, explore, create, and celebrate their culture together.
