At Kipinä Kids Bogor, our little Bears (Nursery 1) had a delightful learning experience through the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar. After listening to the story, the children were invited to revisit the days of the week, from Monday to Sunday, and recall what the hungry caterpillar ate each day. They then had fun sorting and classifying pictures of the different foods in the correct sequence, bringing the story back to life through hands-on learning. This engaging activity helped the children develop their listening and memory skills, strengthen their understanding of sequencing and the days of the week, expand their vocabulary by learning and recognising the names of different foods, and practise early classification skills. Most importantly, it encouraged them to recall details, make connections, and learn through play in a joyful and meaningful way. Every little activity is a wonderful opportunity for our young learners to explore, discover, and grow!
