At Kipinä Kids Kelapa Gading 1, learning about the world goes beyond books and classroom activities. It is about discovering different cultures, appreciating diversity, and understanding that despite our differences, we are all connected by one beautiful dream: peace.
Under the theme “One Voice, One Dream… Peace,” our UN Week was a wonderful celebration of cultural diversity, friendship, and togetherness. Throughout the week, our little learners embarked on an exciting journey around the world, exploring different nations through creative activities, cultural experiences, and memorable performances.
The celebration began on Monday with each class being introduced to the country they would represent. This was the beginning of an exciting cultural adventure, as the children learned about the traditions and unique characteristics of their chosen countries.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, creativity filled the classrooms as the children explored hands-on cultural experiences. They created beautiful crafts inspired by their represented countries and even took part in preparing traditional dishes. Through these activities, our little learners had the opportunity to explore new experiences while developing their creativity, curiosity, and appreciation for different cultures.
The excitement continued on Thursday and Friday with our special “Tour Around the World!” The children visited different countries represented by other classes, discovering new cultures and experiencing the diversity of our global community. Each visit offered a wonderful opportunity to learn, interact, and celebrate what makes every nation unique.
The week reached its highlight with a series of special performances. Our Bears, Seals, Owls, and Squirrels showcased their talents through musical performances on stage, filling the celebration with joy, confidence, and enthusiasm. The performances concluded with a heartwarming group finale of “I Am But a Small Voice,” reminding everyone that even the smallest voices can make a meaningful difference when united by a shared dream of peace.
Meanwhile, our little Foxes celebrated their culmination day with an adorable fashion show, proudly showcasing their outfits and bringing smiles to everyone watching.
More than just a cultural celebration, UN Week was a meaningful learning experience that encouraged our children to embrace diversity, develop empathy, respect others, and understand the importance of living harmoniously together.
At Kipinä Kids, we believe that every child has a voice, every culture has a story, and every little act of kindness can contribute to a more peaceful world. Because building a better tomorrow begins with the little hearts we nurture today.
One Voice, One Dream… Peace. Together, let’s make the world a kinder and more beautiful place!
