Teaching Assistant

Kipinä’s Teaching Assistant (TA) will support the development of Kipinä’s students under direct supervision and guidance from the Teacher. You must be highly trustworthy, dependable, and attentive to children’s needs.

Job Description

  • You will motivate and stimulate student’s learning abilities, often using play activities, interact with and support the student by providing them a secure environment to learn, supporting by producing visual aids and teaching resources, assisting with the development of personal/social and language abilities, support the development of a child’s basic skills including physical coordination, speech and communication, encourage the student’s learning and creativity through stories, songs, games, drawings, and imaginative play, develop their curiosity and knowledge, observe and support the teacher with assessments and reports, ensure the health and safety of the children both inside and outside the nursery.
  • You will assist with marking and correcting work, helping with daily events and activities as it relates to implementation of the curriculum.
  • You will supervise children’s play times when the nursery opens and closes, engage children in learning and play activities, support the administration functions for the Teacher such as helping to maintain and update records, keeping the classroom tidy and functional, working with other team members as and when required.

Job Qualification

  • Kipinä’s TA must be high energy, proactive and motivated, good at working with and playing with children, strong in organization, teamwork and time management.
  • You must be happy, fun, loving, and professional in dealing with both parents and students.
  • You must be flexible, patient, good at listening and communicating. You must have knowledge of curriculum, and different methods of teaching curriculum, children’s stories, rhymes, and sports games and technology as an instrument to learn from.
  • TAs must be professional, punctual and reliable workers who are good with early starting times and later departures. 
  • Kipinä’s Teaching Assistants must have 2 years of prior experience preferably in Early Childhood Education, hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any major, enjoy working with children, able to communicate fluently in English, and maximum 28 years old.
